Congratulations to the two Huntsville students who travelled to Alliston to represent Branch 232 and Zone E-5 at the District level of the Royal Canadian Legion Provincial Public Speaking contest. Tamara Sutherland, branch and zone winner in the Grades 4, 5 and 6 category, was runner-up at district level. Morgan Sallmen, branch and zone winner in the Grades 7, 8 and 9 level, took first place in her division and will now go on to represent District E in the area contest at Brussells, Ontario.

Double Take will be in the lounge from 8 p.m. to midnight on Friday, May 2 for your dancing and listening pleasure. We look forward to seeing everyone there.

Bid euchre is played each Monday evening and everyone is welcome. This week Bruce Battram and Brian Hodge were tied in first place, followed by Don Woolman.

On Friday, April 25 the $4 lunch will offer a choice between a banquet burger with fries or a chicken sandwich with soup. The $6 Tuesday night dinner and dessert on April 29 will feature pork chops. The entire community is welcome to attend these meals.

The Branch 232 annual general meeting and elections will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday, May 26. It is important that all members turn out to have a say in who will be handling the day-to-day business of your branch in the upcoming term.

Have a great week and see you around the branch.
