The death occurred of Marcella Jean McKay, in her 95th year on April 9, 2008 at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge.

Mrs. McKay was born on July 29, 1913 in Dorset, the daughter of Hiram and Hattie (Remey) Barry.

She married Hector N. McKay on Jan. 7, 1933 in Bracebridge, Ontario. Her husband predeceased her.

Mrs. McKay is survived by one son and two daughters, Earl (Marilyn) of Brighton, Janet (Darcy) Roberts of Huntsville, and Susan (Terry) Brady of Toronto.

Also survived by granddaughters Wanda and Darlene Sawyer, Heather and Lianne McKay, great-grandsons Blair and Mory Ford, step-granddaughter Jennifer (Brady) Parfitt, great-granddaughters Isabella (Murray) McKay, Blair  and Kory Ford, step-great-grandchildren Fiona and Alex Parfitt.

Mrs. McKay was a homemaker and piano teacher, and a member of Knox United Church.

Funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Jolyn Campbell of Knox United Church, Dorset on June 21, 2008 at 11 a.m. Interment at Paint Lake Cemetery.
