The death occurred of George David Garland, 81, on April 9, 2008 in Huntsville, Ontario.

The deceased was born on June 29, 1926, the son of Nicholas and Jean Garland.

He married Elizabeth P. MacMillan in 1949. His wife predeceased him.

Mr. Garland is survived by two sons and one daughter, Mary Garland (Rob Kruys) of London, Ontario, NIcholas Garland of Toronto and G. David Garland (Kathleen Kamaras) of Toronto.

Also survived by grandchildren Marika, Joshua and Elijah, nieces Honor Nivin and Cynthia Nivin (Gavan Byrne).

Mr. Garland was a geophysicist, a member of the Order of Canada, Royal Society of Canada, Friends of Algonquin and Probus.

Funeral service was conducted by Reverend Derek Shelly at Billingsley Funeral Home.
