The death occurred of Doreen Marjory Michell, 85, at Ottawa, with her children by her side, on April 4, 2008.

The deceased was born on Feb. 12, 1923, the daughter of Frank and Alice Palmer of Cambridge.

She married Stephen Henry Michell on June 6, 1945 in London, England. Her husband predeceased her.

Mrs. Michell is survived by her children, Marjory Bowie of Ottawa, Stephen G. (Marian Mayer) Michell of Ottawa, Robert J. (Jenny Eng) Michell of Montreal, John E. (Sylvia) Michell of London and Anthony D. (Kanika Batabyl) Duffy of Ottawa.

Also survived by grandchildren Douglas and Edward, Alexandra, Samantha, Kendra, Stephen, Eric, Rachelle, Alexander, Joel, Ming, Leung, Jing, Sean and Connor, and great-grandchildren Meaghan, Emma, Julia, Laura, Eva, Eryn and Gavin.

Mrs. Michell was an artist, and worked for the Red Cross Homecare. She was a veteran of the CWAG and a member Lake of Bays Mission Church.

Funeral arrangements with Mitchell Funeral Home. The funeral will be conducted by Reverend Eric Sisel on Saturday, April 12, 2008. Interment at Hutcheson Memorial Cemetery.
