Club 55 seniors’ building is open Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information about Club 55 call 789-9783. Drop in for a game of fun or a refreshment and some fellowship.
Monday crokinole winners from March 17 were: first, Eve Wagg, 890; second, Trudi Craig, 625; third, Muriel Carr, 555; most 20s, Ted Skerritt, 19.
March 24 winners were: first, Eve Wagg, 825; second, Don Woolman, 585; third, Keith Crozier, 515; most 20s, Keith Crozier and Eve Wagg with 12 each.
Crokinole is every Monday at 10 a.m. Everyone is welcome, and the cost is only $2 per person.
Cribbage winners from March 17 were: first, Lil Millar; second, John Panton; third, Vi Blackwell.
Winners from March 24 were: first, Eve Wagg; second, Norm Parker; third, Marj Wilson.
On March 19 the first triathlon was played at the club. There were 24 people entered in pool, crokinole and shuffleboard. Thanks go out to Rod Vibert for putting this together and hosting the pool table, Ted and Jane Skerritt for hosting shuffleboard, and Trudi Craig and Eve Wagg for hosting crokinole. Thank you to Betty Higgins, Muriel Carr, Edrie Mathias, Gert Rimmington and everyone else who helped with the success of the day. It was a fun day for all, trying new games. The overall winners were: first, Keith Crozier and Sharon Panton, 1,207 points; second, Marj Wilson and Gert Rimmington, 814 points; third, Trudi Craig and Muriel Carr, 797 points.
Shuffleboard is played every Wednesday at 10 a.m. March 26 winners were: first, Sharon Panton and Ted Skerritt, 177; second, Howard Carr and Fred Collins, 176; third, Ann Shorn and Pete Ferguson, 169. The top bridge winner was Don Woolman with 5,150.
Euchre results for March 28: women’s high, Edith Flood, 75; second, Vi McQuain, 74; men’s high, May Mallet, 70; second, Keith Crozier, 69; most lone hands, Keith Crozier and Fred Collins.
Heart pillow stuffing is planned at the club for Monday, April 14 at 10 a.m.
A round and square dance with music by Grenville Hall and Friends will be held on April 26 at 7 p.m., $5 at the club. Everyone is welcome.
