In 1936, Hern Hardware was located at 36 Main Street East in the heart of downtown Huntsville.
Last week, Huntsville sadly saw the passing of Jack Hern, long-time resident, business owner and volunteer. In many ways, Jack embodied the community spirit in our town. Jack and his wife Peggy were at the heart of many local hard-working volunteer groups, and both are well-loved.
Jack will be sadly missed at Muskoka Heritage Place, where his generous spirit as both a village and rail volunteer provided a heartfelt, authentic and intelligent welcome to visitors in our community, and truly put heart in sharing our heritage.
