Congratulations to the Baysville curling club women, who brought home the Muskoka Lakes Women’s Inter-club Trophy on March 17. This is a first for the club.
March 9 was the Battle of the Sexes Jitney and although it was a close call, the women were overall champs. Thanks to Al MacDonald for all his work and creative planning. The closing potluck dinner and general meeting will be held Saturday, April 19 with cocktails at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6:30 pm.
The next meeting of the horticultural society will be on Thursday, April 3 at 7:30 p.m. at the seniors’ building. Guests are from the Aspen Wildlife Centre, who will bring some animals to visit. Everyone is welcome to come out and enjoy this special presentation.
As many of you know, I will shortly be handing back the task of writing this column. If you are interested in taking it over, contact myself or Tamara at the Huntsville Forester. Doing so soon will ensure I can be around for questions during your first few weeks.
Happy birthday to Amber MacKinnon, Bob Sherry, Barb Morrow, and Marg Pyscher.
If you have a birthday, anniversary, event, or other Baysville news you would like to see included here, be sure submit it early. I can be reached either by e-mail at margh@vianet.ca, or leave a message at 767-2384.
