Come in and register your youngsters for the spring session of children’s programs at your library.

Monday mornings from April 7 to June 2 (except Victoria Day) yearlings and caregivers will enjoy songs, rhymes, finger plays and books from 10:10 to 10:40 a.m. Infants and parents get their turn from 11 to 11:30 a.m.
Mondays after school the chess club continues to help youngsters from Grades 3 to high school develop their strategic and logic skills.
Wednesdays from April 9 to May 28 four and five-year-olds will enjoy story time, a craft and to learn how to select a book to borrow and share with their parents at home. The program runs from 10:10 to 11 a.m.
Also for Thursdays, April 10 to of May 29, twos and threes and caregivers have their own story and activity time. This program runs from 11 to 11:30 a.m.
Sarah offers themed, after-school young readers sessions for six to 10-year-olds from 4 to 5 p.m. on Thursdays, 10 April 10 to May 29.
Spring and poetry month is almost here.
Why not celebrate both at your library 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 17 when the 2008 Huntsville Reads season begins?
That night three local poets share their work. Back by popular demand are Sandra McTavish, Alan Pearson and Tom Macgregor.
Huntsville Reads is sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Admission is by donation.
