Gilroy, Donald Arthur, passed away peacefully at his home in Huntsville, on Friday March 14, 2008 , three days after his 83rd birthday. His sense of humor showed through always.

Predeceased by the love of his life Joanne (Joey) Gilroy; loving father of Heather Gilroy (Seattle, WA), Rob Gilroy (Toronto), and Dave Gilroy (Huntsville).

Don had many others who considered him ‘Dad’. Also survived by his sister Helen Macrae of Lakefield.

Don was born in Oakville and spent his early life there as a mink and fox rancher.

He moved to Huntsville with his family and worked around many cottages as a plumber and handyman. He spent most of this time fixing cottages around the Lake of Bays.

He is sadly missed by many whose lives he touched with support, a listening ear, and unconditional love.

He gently encouraged all with his enthusiastic support of all kinds of work and projects.

A memorial service was held at Billingsley Funeral Home, Huntsville on Monday March 17, 2008. The Venerable Dawn Henderson officiated the ceremony.
