The death occurred of Lionel “Leo” Jones, 79, in Huntsville on March 30, 2008.

Mr. Jones was born on June 12, 1928 in Sudbury, Ontario. He married Lucille Jones (nee McLeon) on July 31, 1948 in Creighton Mine, Ontario.

Mr. Jones is survived by son Wayne (Brenda) of Huntsville, Ontario. Also survived by grandchildren Marc and Christa of Toronto, Amanda and Jason of Oro, Michelle and Michael of Toronto, Matthew and Katrine of Huntsville. Great-grandfather to Anna, Dhamon and Myea. Dear brother of Lawrence and Jackie, Kenneth and Ruby, Richard, Raymond and Jean, Thomas and Yolande, Ruth and Moe, Doris and Charlie and Francis.

Mr. Jones was a meat cutter for A&P for 21 years in Huntsville. He retired on July 1, 1988.

Funeral service was conducted by Reverend Derek Shelly of Huntsville at Billingsley Funeral Home on Thursday, March 6, 2008. Interment at Hutcheson Memorial Cemetery in the spring.

Granddaughter Michelle gave a moving eulogy of special memories from all the grandchildren.
