Saturday, March 8 was a banner day for Huntsville shuffleboard players. Branch 232 hosted the District E championships and the top four spots all went to local teams. Advancing to the Ontario finals are Dana Porter and Ken Niemi, Sam Stahls and Ray Kristiansen, Molly Earl and Barb Lloyd and the District E champs, Larry Rosebrugh and Ken Earl. Great job, guys.

Bid euchre is played in the lounge each Monday evening and everyone is welcome to join in.

Winners this week were John Panton, first; Fred Stamper, second; and Sharon Panton, third.

The entire community is welcome at the delicious meals served at Branch 232 each week.

The $4 Friday lunch, served 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., on March 14 will offer homestyle beef stew or peameal on a bun. The next $6 Tuesday night dinner and dessert, served 5 to 6:30 p.m. on March 18, will feature chicken.

The next general meeting of the branch will be held at 7:30 p.m. on March 17, St. Patrick’s Day. All members are encouraged to attend and have a say in the running of their branch.

The branch will be closed on Good Friday, March 21, but please join us for our Easter party on Saturday, March 22.

The provincal service officer will be visiting Branch 232 during the week of April 1. Those wishing to make an appointment should call Bernie Greenfield at 789-2918.

Have a great week and see you around the branch.
