The death occurred of James Kirby Pidgeon, 84, on Feb. 17, 2008 in Huntsville.

The deceased was born on June 7, 1923, the son of the late Ben and Frances Pidgeon. He married Iola Pidgeon (nee Sweeney) on Feb. 15, 1943 in Humber Summit. His wife predeceased him.

Mr. Pidgeon is survived by five daughters, Kerry Ailsby of Lethbridge, AB, Sharon Watson of Owen Sound, Wendy Wilkinson and Lori Longpre of Huntsville and Cathy Boone of Brampton. He leaves behind 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Pidgeon was a service mechanic, and a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Funeral service was conducted by Pastor D. Baker at Faith Baptist Church of Feb. 21, 2008. Interment at Madill Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Stephen Gunn, Kyle, Ben and Andy Longpre, Allan Wilkinson and Greg Tripp.
