The death occurred of Murray Gordan Clarke, 70, at Muskoka Landing on Feb. 11, 2008.

Mr. Clarke was  born on May 18, 1937, the son of Sydney and Lillian Clarke.

He married Margaret Cripps on Feb. 20, 1960.

Mr. Clarke is survived by two sons and two daughters, Carol (Norm) Chiasson, Betty (John) Baumhour, Dan (Eden) Carpenter and Len (Karen), all of Huntsville. Also survived by sisters Phyllis Fisher (Chatham) and Joyce Law, brothers Charles (Launa) Clarke and David (Linda) Clarke, all from Huntsville.

He will be missed by grandchildren Joshua and Brodie, Ryan, Cindy, Kurtis, Clinton, Nathan, Amber-Sky, Nicholas and Abby. Predeceased by grandson Justin, sisters Audrey and Delores and son Roger.

Mr. Clarke was employed by the Department of Highways from 1960 until his retirement in 1994. He was a member of the Porcupine Hunt Camp. Murray had a passion for hunting, fishing and canoeing. In his youth he enjoyed downhill skiing.

Funeral service was conducted by Pastor William Fynney at Billingsley Funeral Home on Feb. 14, 2008. Spring interment at Hutcheson Memorial Cemetery.

He will be fondly remembered by many family members and friends.
