March break is coming up and Huntsville Public Library and Friends deliver fun for you and your children.

The Friends of the Library and the Royal Canadian Legion are sponsoring a show for the whole family on Wednesday, March 12 at 11 a.m. at the legion.

Turn out and share the laughs and excitement when Washboard Hank brings his one-man band back to town. Washboard Hank has appeared on TV on Mr. Dressup, the Elephant Show, W5 and more. Tickets are just $3 per person and can be purchased at the library circulation desk.

Monday, March 10, come into the library with your infant for rhyme, stories and songs from 10:10 until 10:40 a.m. On Tuesday, March 11 between 10 and 11 a.m., twos and threes and their caregivers get their turn to enjoy stories, rhymes, and action songs with an Irish theme.  Thursday, March 13, fours and fives and caregivers can enjoy amusing stories, play games and make a craft with a St. Patrick’s Day theme. On Friday,  March 14 six to 10-year-olds can come in for funny stories, reading games and jeopardy with prizes.

The next session of the Guided Autobiography program runs weekly Wednesdays from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the solarium at Huntsville library. It starts March 19 and wraps up April 23 (St. George’s Day).

You can pick up a flyer at the Huntsville library, look at the “Writing your life” page at www.huntsvillelibrary.net or contact Nigel Tappin at Huntsville Public Library (789-5232 or ntappin@huntsvillelibrary.net) for more details.

The Environment Commissioner of Ontario, Gord Miller, will speak at Huntsville Civic Centre, Partner’s Hall, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28 at a meeting organized by the Muskoka Watershed Council and Muskoka Heritage Foundation.  Huntsville library has obtained two printed copies of Mr. Miller’s most recent annual report (2006-2007), Reconciling Our Priorities. When they are in they are currently on the new book shelf. You can place a copy on hold for when one comes back in.
