The death occurred of Brenda Denise Ross, 54, on Jan. 29, 2008 at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital.

The deceased was born in Huntsville on Sept. 3, 1953, the daughter of Helen Nickason and the late Richard Nickason.

She married Barry Ross on Aug. 16, 2000 in Allensville.

Mrs. Ross is survived by three daughters, Lisa (Cam) Hill, Bracebridge; Sarah Nickason (Jamie), Port Sydney; and Jessica of Allensville.

Also survived by her mother, Helen Nickason, brothers and sisters Leslie (Wilma), Della (Norm) Sawyer, Eric (Pat), Bill (Terri), Lonnie (Linda), Norma (Bill) VanAlstine, Cheryl (Ted) Spalding, Mary Ellen Nickason (Tim Wright).

Mrs. Ross was production scheduler at Algonquin Automotive for 27 years, and later cleaned houses for her beloved clients.

Brenda loved nature. She was an avid gardener, loved camping and hiking trips to Killarney and Algonquin Parks. She was a friend to all who knew her.

Funeral service was conducted by George Hines of Deer Lake Gospel Hall at Faith Baptist Church in Huntsville on Feb. 1, 2008.

Spring burial at Stephenson Cemetery.

Pallbearers were nephews David and Paul Sawyer, Clint and Cody Spalding, Shawn and Tyler Nickason. Honourary pallbearer Ryan Dumetz.
