The death occurred of Arthur (Art) Haynes on Jan. 28, 2008 at his home in Huntsville, in his 80th year.

The deceased was born on Jan. 30, 1928, the son of Samuel and Frieda Haynes. He was married to the late Shirley Haynes.

Loving companion of Betty Higgins of Huntsville. Survived by one son and two daughters, Darlene of Bancroft, Charlotte of Windsor and Bob of Dorset.

Also survived by his sister Mary Jane (Jay) Coulter and husband Bill Coulter. Beloved grandpa of five and great-grandfather of nine.

Mr. Haynes was the operator/owner of the Old Mill Marina, and a building inspector for the Dorset area. He also worked for Carnarvon Building Supplies.

Funeral service was conducted by the Venerable Dawn Henderson of All Saints’ Anglican Church at Billingsley Funeral Home. Cremation to follow.
