The death occurred of Cecil Archie Reid, 75, at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Jan. 28, 2008.

The deceased was born on Nov. 2, 1932 in Bancroft, Ontario, the son of Susan and Levi Reid (deceased). Mr. Reid was predeceased by his wife Verna in 1978. He married Shirley in 1987 in Emsdale, Ontario. His wife Shirley resides in Novar, Ontario.

Mr. Reid is survived by five sons and four daughters, Bernadette (Wayne) of Huntsville, Richard of Ottawa, Larry (Virginia), Jennifer (Glen), Paul and Murray (Maggie) all of Huntsville, Mike (Candice) of North Bay, Jody (Scott) and Judy (Brian) of Huntsville.

Also survived by step-children Betty (Tom) of Novar, Wendy of Southern Ontario, Cathy (Peter) of Novar, Jim (Cindy) and Debbie (Gerry) of Huntsville, Randy (Karren) of Novar and Brad (Tamara) of Huntsville.

He leaves behind many grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by an infant son Peter in 1960.

Mr. Reid worked in the logging and lumber industry. He was employed for over 25 years by Nadrofsky Lumber of Huntsville.

He  serviced in the Canadian Military from 1954 to 1957, stationed in Continental Europe.

At his request there will be no service. Donations in his memory to the Huntsville Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by his family.
