The death occurred of Evelyn  Ruthven, 84, on Jan. 16, 2008 in Huntsville, Ontario.

The deceased was born in Toronto on Sept. 2, 1923, the daughter of Frank and Bertha Humphrys.

She married Sgt. Edgar Ruthven on July 19, 1948 in Huntsville.

Her husband predeceased her on Dec. 25, 1996.

Mrs. Ruthven is survived by one son and one daughter, Eric (Carol) Ruthven and Erin (Barry) Speicher.

Mrs. Ruthven was a retired swimming instructor, a member of Locks United Church. She enjoyed swimming and painting in her spare time and being with her family and friends most of all.

Evelyn loved the Lord and most of all she lived her life for Him.

Funeral service was conducted by D. Baker of Huntsville Faith Baptist Church in Huntsville on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008 at 3 p.m.

Interment at Locks Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Kevin Roland, Harvey Coulas, Len Clarke, Bob Addison, James Speicher, Ian Speicher.
