New Kid in Town: Tribute to the Eagles takes the Algonquin Theatre stage on Friday, Jan. 18 at 8 p.m.

These veteran musicians will skillfully reproduce monster hits from the Eagles, as well as the solo careers of Don Henley, Glen Frye, and Joe Walsh.

Some of the songs featured in this concert include: New Kid in Town, Already Gone, Best Of My Love, Desperado, Get Over It, Heartache Tonight, Hotel California, In The City, Last Resort, Take It Easy, Take it to the Limit and Tequila Sunrise, among others.

Tickets for New Kid in Town: Tribute to the Eagles are $28 each plus GST and available at the Algonquin Theatre box office, 789-4975 or online at www.algonquintheatre.ca

Featured at the end of this month on Jan. 22 and 23 at the Algonquin Theatre are the exciting films from this year’s Banff Mountain Film Festival.

Once again the Banff Mountain Film Festival is on the road across North America and around the world. Whether you are an experienced mountaineer or an armchair adventurer, this event is exciting for everyone. Each night features a different movie line-up. The first night’s films tend toward nature and travel themes, while the second night focuses on action.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for youth under 18. In past years the Banff Mountain Film Festival’s stop in Huntsville has sold out, so be sure to get your tickets early.
