SNOW POINT: This photograph shows Pat and Doreen McIlroy pointing over the beaver meadow pond while skiing on Watson’s farm on Brunel Road in Huntsville. The Watsons sold their farm and pond to the Huntsville Rotary Club in 1961 for half its market value, with the understanding that the site would be used for a pioneer village.

Today, buildings relocated and authentically restored on this site reflect a typical working Muskoka cross-roads community, with homes, gardens, blacksmith, store, church, school and hotel. It even boasts a train!

The Portage Flyer Christmas train leaves Rotary Village Station this Saturday, Dec. 22 beginning at 5 in the evening for a magical romantic evening train ride to Santa for riders of all ages. Please call 789-7576 for information.
