MUSIC & LIGHT: This photograph was taken on the night of the Santa Claus parade at the end of November in 1991.
In response to a reader’s comment about lights in the downtown core, this photograph shows the Huntsville town hall as it appeared outlined with rope light in 1991.
This photograph can be compared to last week’s “Photographic Memory” depicting the town hall at night, circa 1940.
Many things change from year to year and place to place, but lights and music signalling holiday festivities are standard traditions which have crossed through many cultures over many centuries.
