The general manager for Metroland North Media’s Muskoka/Almaguin region, Bill Allen, is pleased to announce the following this week: Michael Hill has accepted the position of advertising manager for South Muskoka and will work from the Bracebridge Examiner office. Michael has been a member of the Huntsville Forester’s sales team for the past five years and has managed the department since 2005. Michael has called Huntsville home since 1983, where he has provided sales and customer service to the community for more than 20 years. His avid involvement with local charities, sports and community events has given him an understanding and appreciation for what makes Muskoka such a great place to call home. He looks forward to serving the South Muskoka community in his new capacity. Andrew Allen has accepted the position of advertising manager for the Huntsville Forester. Andrew was raised in Huntsville and is a graduate of Huntsville High School. He began his career in the retail business working full time for Pepsi Bottling Group and part time for Kraft Canada. He was part of the Almaguin Forester sales team and joined the Huntsville sales force in March of 2006. Andrew looks forward to serving the Huntsville community in his new managerial role.
Bruce Hickey will take on the role of group editor for Muskoka/Almaguin/Parry Sound and assistant general manager for the south Muskoka market. Bruce has worked in the community newspaper business for the past 17 years. He joined the Huntsville Forester in 1995, became managing editor there in 2002 and regional editor for Muskoka/Almaguin in 2005. He will continue to serve the Huntsville community as group editor, and will work primarily from the Bracebridge Examiner office to oversee operations there.
