Have a HOOT on June 21
May 14, 2008

The date for the second annual Family Traditions Help Out Our Town (HOOT) is just over a month away, and there is much to be excited about. According to event organizer Tina Turley, there is a great lineup of entertainment scheduled for this year’s HOOT, which is taking place on June 21 at the Huntsville Fairgrounds.

The music will get underway at noon and will include performances by Garry Wayne, Viceroy Bill (Bill Hobman), Burk’s Falls Express, Fine Line, Butter, Trippy Foot, Prescription for Protest, Tina Turley & Loose Boots, Drama Kings and McArthur Mills.

Aside from a diverse lineup of entertainment, attendees can also expect to dunk someone in the highly-popular dunk tank, take part in a silent auction and a sucker raffle, play a friendly game of volleyball or get competitive in a horseshoe tournament. There will be a playground area for kids and the Elegant Wienie Roast will also be on site as will Jennifer Pimentel of Shadyzign, who will bring photographs to life with her realistic pencil portraits and paintings.

Those wishing to participate in the horseshoe tournament must be at the pits by 11 a.m. on June 21 or you can pre-register by calling 787-6023 or 789-0326.

For admission and event information contact Tina at 705-789-5353 or Karen at 705-783-5778.

Proceeds from the event will be directed to Muskoka Family, Youth and Child Services’ Camp Fund.
