The death occurred of Betty May Wheatley, 71, on April 24, 2008 in Huntsville, Ontario.

The deceased was born on Oct. 20, 1936, the daughter of Lloyd and Margaret Peckham. She married Eddie Wheatley on Nov. 1, 2003 in Huntsville, where her husband resides.

Mrs. Wheatley is survived by one son and three daughters, Lloyd and Margaret Kerslake of Dartsmouth, N.S.; Linda Kerslake and husband Brian Gilson of Huntsville, Margaret and husband Brian Williams of Keswick, Ontario, and Louise Kerslake and Gordie Hunter of Cobourg. Predeceased by her daughter Shelley.

Loving grandmother of Keegan, Kieron, Candice and Joe, Kimberly, Nathaniel, Sarah and Nevin.

Stepmother of Joyce and Norm Hagarty, Ed and Anne Wheatley, George and Nancy Wheatley, Donald Wheatley and Tammy Percival.

Step-grandmother of Patrick, Beth, Katelyn, Brett, Scott, Shawn, Mark, Shelby, Morgan, Michael and Thorne.

Mrs. Wheatley was a member of the Huntsville Royal Canadian Legion.

Funeral service was conducted by Reverend Dawn Henderson of All Saints’ Anglican Church at Billingsley Funeral Home, Huntsville on Monday, April 28, 2008.

Spring interment at Hutcheson Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers were granddaughters Candice, Sarah, Beth, Katelyn and Brett.
