Honours and Awards Night is scheduled for May 24 and the annual widows’ luncheon will be held on May 25. If you feel you should have been included in either of these functions and have not yet received an invitation, please call the branch at 789-4641 and leave a message for the appropriate chairman.

Bid euchre is played each Monday evening and everyone is welcome. Last week Edith Wainwright finished in first place, followed by Brian Hodge in second and Marg Grant in third. This week it was Nina Wagg followed by Edith Wainwright and Marg Grant.

On Friday, May 9 the $4 lunch will offer an egg salad sandwich or a hamburger, served with soup or fries. The $6 Tuesday night dinner and dessert on May 13, the final dinner of the year, will be a buffet. On May 16, chicken fingers or a salmon sandwich will be the choices for this term’s final Friday lunch. The entire community is welcome to attend these meals.

The Branch 232 annual general meeting and elections will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, May 26. It is important that all members turn out to have a say in who will be handling the day-to-day business of your branch in the upcoming term. Please make an effort to attend.
