Congratulations and thank you to the executive for staying on for another year.

The Aspdin Community Centre is having a bid euchre party on May 10. Cards start at 1 p.m. There will be dessert and beverage at break. The cost is $5 for cards and dessert.  The prizes will be based on the number of people attending.  Proceeds will go to St. Mary’s Church in Aspdin.

The Aspdin Community Centre is also holding a kids’ games night on May 24 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. for kids ages eight to 16.

Thank you to the Du-Ya-Wanna Snowmobile Club for the lovely dinner at Muskoka Downs for their landowner appreciation night.

Roy and I had family Rob Galloway, Mary Jane, Leeanne and Kenny Boreham and Derek Neal visiting with us on the weekend.

A word from the kitchen: Did you know that a few drops of corn oil will eliminate ear mites in your cat’s ear? Massage it in, then clean with a cotton ball. Repeat daily for three days. The oil soothes the cat’s skin, smothers the mites, and accelerates healing.
