HuntsvilleForester.com - Mural committee seeks help with 2009 project

The Downtown Huntsville Business Improvement Area’s (BIA’s) mural committee is seeking support for its 2009 mural project plans.

The planned mural project for 2009 would see 12 murals added to the Group of Seven Outdoor Gallery, as well as ongoing activities with regards to promotion and marketing.

Seven murals are planned as downtown murals that would be completed during a mural festival, with the concept of seven murals in seven days in honour of the Group of Seven.

This festival is tentatively planned for the week including Canada Day. One of these festival murals will be another community mural. The remaining five murals would be done between May 1 and Sept. 30.

These five murals would not be located in the downtown, but in prominent locations outside of the downtown and act as pointers to the downtown outdoor gallery.
